Summer vacation!

Hello guys!

Summer is finally here!

I know you probably have a lot of plans, but it would be great if you could do some work during these 2 months. It’s really important for you to keep in touch with the English language, so next year will be a piece of cake!

Don’t think about the activities below as homework. They are funny and nice activities and you can enjoy a lot doing them!

These are my suggestions:

1. Watch some movies in English with subtitles (also in English). There are a lot of funny and good movies to watch during the summer.

2. Read books in English. Reading opens learners up to ideas, experiences, and places you might never otherwise experience. By reading books in English, you can learn a lot of new vocabulary, as well as many things about the world around us.

Have a look at the list below. You can find some reading suggestions there.

There are different types of books, so you can choose those ones that suit you better. You have “Classic Tales” or books to discover the world around us. They all include a CD with activities, so you can enjoy learning.

3. Write down all the new words that you learn during the summer. It will increase your vocabulary.

4. You will find in your blog some worksheets, so you can practice again the different footprints units (grammar, vocabulary, etc). You have “grammar worksheets”, “reading and writing worksheets” and “mixed ability worksheets”. Choose what things you need or want to practice, print the worksheets and do them.

5. Try to speak in English. If you meet foreign children this summer, don’t hesitate to speak with them in English. That’s the best way to practice speaking and you can also make really good friends from all over the world!

Have a lovely time this summer.

See you soon.
