Let’s review what we have learnt during this term.
FIRST ACTIVITY
First of all we are going to practice Present Simple and Past Simple Tenses.
Here you have a video. It is a song called “Yellow Submarine” by The Beatles.
Find outall the verbs in the song (it has subtitles but you can find the lyrics on the Internet too).
Then, writetwo lists into your notebook. The first one has to contain all Present Simple tense verbs. The second one has to contain all the Past Simple Tense verbs. You can use different colors.
Finally you have to find the meaning of the verbs that you don’t understand.
SECOND ACTIVITY
You are going to do a similar activity with another song, but now you have to find out all the Present Continuous Tense sentences.
This song is called "Lemon Tree" by Fools Garden.
Copy the sentences into your notebook too. Find out their meaning if you don’t understand them.
THIRD ACTIVITY
Completethis story using past simple or past continuous tenses into your notebook.
One sunny day, Billy and Timmy ____ (DELIVER) a box to Mr. Thompson. The crate ____ (BE) full of glasses. They ____ (CARRY) the box on a cart. They ____ (TAKE) the glasses to Mr. Thompson's store at the end of the street. They ____ (BE) very careful with the crate full of glasses.
As they ____ (PASS) by the school, they ____ (SEE) Jack and Tom. Jack and Tom ____(PLAY) soccer. Billy and Timmy ____ (ASK) the other boys for help. The four boys steered the cart through the streets. While Billy and Timmy ____ (PULL) from the front, Jack and Tom ____ (PUSH) from behind.
As they were walking, Billy and Timmy ____ (GUIDE) the cart over bumps and holes. They ____ (PROTECT) the glasses. When the four boys ____ (ARRIVE) at the store, Mr. Thompson ____ (WAIT) for them.
