EXPRESSIONS OF SEQUENCE

In UNIT 4 we have learnt “Expressions of sequence”. 
They are words and expressions to refer to time. 
You can use them to sequence events and to make stories and anecdotes more interesting.

Last year I was leaving in England. You are going to read a text about one of my trips to London.

Find out the expressions of sequence and make a list with them.

Then, use those expressions to write a similar text.It can be about a trip, or a special day (your birthday, Christmas Day…). Whatever you want!! Write what you liked the most too.

Use photos, postcards, tickets… to decorate your work!

On the 20th of December my friend and I visited London. It was not our first time there, but we were really excited, because we went together for the first time.

First of all, we went to an English restaurant and we had the typical English breakfast. It consisted of eggs, bacon, sausages, black pudding tomato and beans. It was too big but we enjoyed it a lot!


Then we got a map and we went to visit London Eye and The Big Ben. I loved both attractions. They were amazing! Near the London Eye there was a Christmas market and it was full of stands where people were selling Christmas decoration and tasty sweets.



After that, we took the bus (one of those funny red buses) and we went to visit Buckingham Palace. We saw the Queen’s Guard. The ceremony lasted 45 minutes. We really liked it but it was too cold and it started to rain…

Next, we were thirsty, so we went to have a drink. I wanted a hot chocolate. It had cream and marshmallow! It was delicious!


Later, we went shopping. We went to M&M’s shop and we bought some souvenirs. It was really nice and we took a lot of photos!



Finally, it finished raining so we decided to go to Regent’s Park. It is a beautiful park near the city centre. It was full of squirrels and we fed them. They are really funny animals!


It was an amazing day. I liked Regent’s park the most because we had a great time playing with the squirrels.

Los Clavos en la Valla

Un padre un día le dio a su hijo, un chico con mal carácter, un paquete de clavos y le dijo: -Toma hijo, cada vez que hieras a alguien o que te enfades con alguien clava un clavo en la valla del jardín. El primer día el muchacho clavó 37 clavos, pasaron las semanas y cada día que pasaba clavaba menos clavos en la valla hasta que un día consiguió no clavar ninguno, había descubierto por fin que no herir ni enfadarse con alguien era más bonito y más fácil que clavar clavos en una valla.
